Plein Air Painting with Philip Lindsey

Explore technique, process, and theory of open air (plein air) painting in a relaxed atmosphere at beautiful City Park Lake. Participants will be led through a step-by-step process of painting on location from direct observation. All stages of the painting process will be addressed, from start to finish. Workshop attendees will have the option of completing one or two paintings during the workshop.

Supply List
2 canvases/supports
basic set of oil or acrylic paints (studio size tubes)
basic set of brushes
a flat palette
palette knife
small containers of mineral spirits if working in oil, or small containers of water if working in acrylic
rags/paper towels

Bio:lindsay_phil Philip Lindsey is an award winning painter, who regularly exhibits in the region and beyond. His work has been selected for juried exhibition by curators from The Met, MoMA, Smithsonian, and Whitney museums, and his work is held in public and private collections across the country.
