The MFA needs you more than ever!

November 2020

Dear Members and Friends,

Thank you for your generous past support for the Washington County Museum of Fine Arts. The arts contribute greatly to both regional quality of life and personal enrichment, and your donation shows that you understand and value the vital role of the museum in our community. During the last six months of challenges we have worked hard to keep the museum engaged in important work, pivoting to creating online programs, adapting our teaching, and continuing our ambitious temporary exhibition schedule, which resumed in July with a celebration of 100 years of women artists. I’m proud of the work we have done to reach out and stay connected through months of closure and safely reopening.

I know you too have faced challenges during this difficult year. However, I’m hoping you will consider supporting the museum’s annual fund. 2021 will be our 90th year of free admission, yet we have lost our typical revenue from concerts, lectures, shop sales, and rental events. Please help us, so that we can continue to present world-class exhibitions in Hagerstown. Use the donation form or PayPal below, or telephone the museum to make a gift.

With warm appreciation,

Sarah J. Hall, Director

Something for everyone! “Great museum with a solid permanent collection as well as visiting exhibits… It’s a community minded museum with outreach & educational programs reaching kids and adults. There is no formal admission charge but I always try to leave a donation. I live in the area and try to visit several times a year. And once you’re done visiting the museum, taking a walk through City Park is mandatory!” ~ napaman99 TripAdvisor
