IMPORTANT PUBLIC NOTICE – COVID-19, coronavirus
MUSEUM OF FINE ARTS-WASHINGTON COUNTY CLOSED
Hagerstown, MD - On Thursday, March 12, Maryland Governor Larry Hogan held a press conference to address the threat of the spread of COVID-19, the coronavirus. He issued an Executive Order to the citizens of Maryland to limit social contact during this time in order to contain the spread of this virus.
Because of the importance of helping with the effort to contain and slow the spread of COVID-19, the MFA-WC is closed to the public. During this time, the Museum will be cleaned and sanitized.
For events and activities scheduled during this time frame, the Museum of Fine Arts-Washington County will postpone its scheduled activities. More information on programmatic plans, including Art in Bloom, will follow shortly. The Museum leadership will continue to assess matters as the situation develops, and will keep the public informed.
We look forward to welcoming back visitors to the museum and we recognize that the value of experiencing works of art in a safe place is central to the MFA-WC’s mission, vision, and core values.
We thank you for your understanding during this difficult time.
