Replacement Roof Urgently Needed at the Museum of Fine Arts

The trustees of the Alice Virginia and David W. Fletcher Foundation have awarded the Museum a $1:$1 Challange Grant in the amount of $45,000.

For every dollar given to the Museum in support of the Roof Campaign, the Fletcher Foundation will match it with a dollar.

The Washington County Museum of Fine Arts(WCMFA) appeals to the community for an urgent facility project: replacing the roof on the 1994 wing which was designed by J.C. Burrey Architects. The roof is now 21 years old, has been compromised by weather and age and has reached the end of its useful life and therefore needs to be replaced.  This roof covers the  North Entry and Lobby, Museum Shop, Public Restrooms, Garland Groh Gallery, West Corridor Display Cases, the Education Classroom, and Curatorial and Administrative Offices.
