Saturday Morning Youth Program

What is SMYP?

The Saturday Morning Youth Program at the WCMFA is one of the museum’s most popular and longstanding educational traditions. Open to young artists in grades 1-5, SMYP allows students to explore a wide variety of media and art styles to creatively express themselves. Students are exposed to the museum’s current exhibitions and draw inspiration from the works of art in our collection, as well as from our rotating exhibitions. This class is wonderful for children who love to surround themselves with art, who constantly draw and create their own worlds on paper, who love to dip their hands in paint and pour their thoughts onto the canvas, or for those who want to try something fun and new! We hope your child will join us.

SMYP is free for all students. All supplies are provided. This program is graciously sponsored by the Mary K. Bowman Historical and Fine Arts Fund.
