Campaign Manager

(Project-based, 18–24 Months)

The Washington County Museum of Fine Arts (WCMFA) in Hagerstown, Maryland seeks an organized, detail-oriented Campaign Manager to lead the logistics and administration of the museum’s $20 million capital campaign in support of the creation of a new Education Center. This is a temporary, full-time position expected to run approximately 18–24 months, wrapping up the campaign’s quiet phase and successfully launching the public phase of the campaign.

Salary range: $64,000–80,000, the final offer will be based on experience and internal equity within the organization.

This is a temporary, full-time (min. 35 hours per week) exempt position, expected to run approximately 18–24 months. Weekend work and evening hours are required, particularly around campaign committee meetings and cultivation or public-phase events.

Manager of Development

The Manager of Development will manage grant writing and reporting, corporate and foundation sponsorships, the annual fund, the membership program, and the museum’s slate of fundraising events, while helping build a strong culture of philanthropy across the organization.

Salary range: $57,000–72,000; the final offer will be based on experience and internal equity within the organization.
This is a full-time (min. 35 hours per week) exempt position; weekend work and evening hours are required.

The Director of Education must have deep knowledge of learning theories, educational trends, and best practices for interpreting museum collections and the ability to work with others for appropriate curriculum integration. Strong project management, budgeting skills, and financial literacy are key aspects of the administrative function of this role.

Salary Range: $60,000–79,000

Manager of Safety & Security

Under the direction of the Director of Finance & Operations, the Manager of Safety and Security contributes to a safe, secure, functional, and inviting campus by overseeing the security team and ensuring a safe and secure environment for staff, visitors, and all of the art at the Washington County Museum of Fine Arts. The successful candidate will demonstrate critical thinking, broad experience, and sound judgement to address a range of security challenges.

Salary Range: $45,000‐50,000 based on experience
Status: Full time, exempt with benefits. Periodic evening hours required.
