Colorful fresh-cut flower arrangements are paired with equally as exquisite pieces of artwork for the annual Art in Bloom event in March. 1

Art in Bloom Preview Party is Friday, March 24,  from 5 to 7 p.m. The evening will give patrons access to the freshest floral designs and the chance to mingle with the designers.

Hosted by the Hagerstown Garden Club, Art in Bloom pairs designers with artwork in the museum. Designers then must interpret the art by using fresh flowers and greenery. Cost for the evening is $55. Advance registration is required by contacting Donna Rastelli at 301-739-5727 or drastelli@wcmfa.org. Or purchase by using the link below.

Art in Bloom will continue Saturday, March 25, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday, March 26, noon to 4 p.m. There are extended hours both days for the event.

Ashley Conlon aka “The Fern Farmer,” will lead a free floral demonstration Saturday at 1 p.m. using sustainable materials. Conlon, a local farmer/grower, also is an award-winning floral designer with Frederick County Master Gardeners. She has styled plants and flowers at top equestrian events, including 2021-22 at the Maryland 5 Star as the official floral designer and plant provider, the Upperville Colt & Horse Show, the Capital Challenge, and the Washington International Horse Show.
