The Washington County Museum of Fine Arts (WCMFA) announces the election of fiscal year 2026 new members of its Board of Trustees: Tim Henry, Suzanne Kass, Kathleen Murray, Kathy Poole, and John Schnebly. Their terms will extend through 2028.
“I am thrilled to welcome these dedicated leaders to our Board of Trustees,” said Sarah Hall, Executive Director of WCMFA. “As we continue to advance our vision for growth – the diverse expertise, commitment, and passion of our trustees are vital. Each of our new board members has shown a strong dedication to the museum and to the wider community, and we are honored to have them join us.”
New Trustees

Timothy G. Henry
Beginning in 2016, Timothy Henry served as President and CEO of Franklin Financial Services Corporation, the largest independent, locally owned and operated bank holding company in Franklin County, Pennsylvania, and its subsidiary F&M Trust, until his retirement in May 2025. Under his leadership, the bank more than doubled in assets, expanded into Maryland, and was listed on Nasdaq. Henry has extensive experience in financial services, lending, investment management, and organizational leadership. He has served on numerous professional and civic boards, including Keystone Health, the Maryland Theatre, and the Greater Hagerstown Committee. A longtime resident of the region, Henry and his wife Linda live in Greencastle, PA, and have two grown children and four grandchildren.
Suzanne Kass
Suzanne Kass brings deep ties to the museum, having previously served as a trustee from 2015–2021. She and her husband, Frederic, have been engaged supporters of the museum since 1995. A graduate in art history and art education, Kass has been active in the local arts community for decades, including over 20 years as an editor of Antietam Review, the literary magazine of the Washington County Arts Council. She has also taught at Laurel Hall School at Brooklane and has participated in the museum as a parent, teacher, Bowman Grant recipient, and student in the painting studios.

Kathleen Murray
A lifelong Hagerstown resident, Kathleen Murray has combined her professional career with community service. She co-founded Direct Mail Processors, Inc. in 1992 with her husband Michael and serves as Vice President. She has been deeply involved in nonprofit leadership, serving on the boards of the YMCA, St. Maria Goretti High School, and as a longtime member of the Town and Country Garden Club. Murray has supported the museum for decades, including raising her four children with art classes at the museum. She is passionate about the arts, flower arranging, and giving back to her community.

Kathy Poole
Kathy Poole returns to the museum Board, having previously served from 2013–2019, including on the Executive Director Search Committee. She currently works with The Poole Law Group, supporting personal injury and mass tort cases. Earlier in her career, Poole served for 21 years as Executive Director of the American Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology, where she oversaw national medical guidelines development. She has served the community on numerous boards, including the Washington County Free Library, C&O Canal Trust, Meritus Medical Center, and HARC Steering Committee for Micah’s Backpack. Poole and her husband Bruce have been generous supporters of the museum for nearly two decades.

John Schnebly
A familiar name in the museum’s history, John Schnebly began his first term as trustee in 2009, serving as board president from 2016–2018. Though he rotated off the board, he has remained an active participant in the Development Committee and Capital Campaign Committee, providing continuity and leadership during a time of growth. Schnebly’s long-standing involvement reflects his enduring dedication to the museum and its future.
