Masks are now optional for WCMFA visitors
According to the CDC’s tool for measuring community-level risk, Washington County, Maryland, is currently at low-risk for COVID-19 transmission. Masking is now optional for Museum visitors. This goes into effect Sunday, March 13.
At this level, masks are optional indoors for people who are vaccinated, not at high risk, have not tested positive, are not experiencing Covid-19 symptoms, and have not recently been exposed to someone who tested positive.
Visitors may choose to mask at any time. People with symptoms, a positive test, or exposure to someone with COVID-19 should wear a mask. The museum will continue to supply disposable masks for those who feel more comfortable wearing one.
Proof of Covid-19 vaccination may still be required for certain group museum activities.
