Frida Kahlo: Picturing an Icon

June 14 – October 5, 2025

Frida Kahlo: PIcturing an Icon is a deep, thought provoking, and emotionally resonant exploration of the life of one of the 20th century’s most iconic artists. Through more than 100 vintage photographs selected from her private albums, Frida Kahlo: Picturing an Icon allows us to see Kahlo through the eyes of friends and family, and introduces us to her complex, enthralling, and often heartbreaking life. It’s a story of tenacity, creativity, passion, and politics—full of iconic imagery and friendships and alliances with global impact. (Learn more through our ongoing exhibition blog with links below.)
